Portrait Muggia Trieste Canon 24-70mm f2.8 zoom lens cover shot

Muggia is a small town in the province of Trieste; it is also the last town you will reach before entering Slovenia. The place is very interesting for a photo session: with its Venetian influence, Muggia offers a beautiful setting for some photographs.

For this session, I wanted to try out the Canon 24-70mm f/2.8 zoom lens more. It is a lens I don’t particularly love, since it carries quite an important weight. Usually I prefer fixed lenses, such as the 50mm and the 35mm f/1.4.

The photos were shot in the beautiful late-afternoon winter light. I post-processed them in Lightroom with a subtle vintage tone curve and VSCO-inspired color work.
