The #InstaxPitti project at Pitti Immagine Uomo 92 in Florence

For the 92nd edition of Pitti Immagine Uomo, I was asked to further develop the #InstaxPitti project that I started back in January. Let’s recap it: during the Pitti Immagine Uomo fair, I stopped some attendees to pose for a picture with me. I chose the one I like most for its color and overall interest in the outfit they wear. The surprise (for them) comes at the end.

My process is: take their picture, then wait with them for the 4/5 minutes of the developing process. For me, that time is the most interesting part of the project — I can get their attention and ask them where they come from and what they do as a business, and in this way I can create a connection. The last part of the process is to re-photograph them with the film in hand.
