I had the good fortune to be part of a day-long workshop with the master Franco Fontana during Fotoincontri 2013 in San Felice sul Panaro. Fontana is one of the greatest photographers and artists we have in Italy.
I have admired him and his work for a long time. I find his compositions perfect and the photos vibrant, with strong use of color. His work transmits emotions and energy. Fontana’s photographs are unique and reflect a personal view of reality.
On the day of the workshop, everyone brought their own photographs, and Fontana gave each of us a personal critique. His feedback was direct and useful—a great learning moment for any photographer.
