Unusual but always exciting — the snow in Florence. This morning, we were surprised to wake up to a snowy landscape.
Snow is something not typical of Florence. The last time I remember was back in 2010, during a quite big snowstorm (almost 30 cm of snow).
Today we can’t say we had so much as in 2010, but as always, the city covered in white is something unusual and well deserves a little photo reportage.
For this photo of Florence under the snow, I used the OnePlus 5T smartphone. This morning I was also carrying the Fujifilm X-Pro2 mirrorless camera, but in the end it stayed in the bag. I used only the OnePlus to document the white roofs of Florence under the snow.
The photos have been slightly enhanced in Lightroom with some contrast. Usually, these cloudy days give us a flat final picture, but you know, I love contrast and saturation, so working a bit with the curves I get back the contrast and saturation I want for my images.
